Why ETA
Sonya always planned to scale through acquisition. As an owner in the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program, she intended to purchase a company in year four to expand beyond organic growth.
Through bETA, she gained the tools to identify real opportunities and move decisively. After coordinating with brokers, attorneys, lenders, and her internal team and navigating a late-stage bank change, she successfully closed in October 2025.

Now in the final phase of transition, Sonya is preparing to expand her team, with projected revenue growth of 50% within four months of acquisition.
The seller remains engaged and optimistic about new growth opportunities. Leveraging her strength in business development and proposal strategy, Sonya is rapidly pursuing new contracts and expanding into new industry segments.
Impact & Insights
The biggest challenge has been systems integration. While diligence was thorough, merging operational systems has proven more complex than anticipated.
Rather than slow progress, the experience has sharpened her approach. Sonya is now building an internal acquisition playbook to streamline future integrations and strengthen long-term growth.
